We didn't get to spend much free time here because it was during the days of the competition. We stayed at an "agriturismo" which is a working farm that also serves as a B&B. We enjoyed meeting Alberto and Stella (pictured below) who gave us fresh "melone" (cantaloupe) and on another occasion, introduced JP to eating rabbit. (Yuck!)
JP did some bike riding through the flat lands in the area. I wish we could have spent more time there, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful.
