After successful runs at Regional competitions in Georgia, Michigan and Texas, along with Nationals in Arizona, I'm excited to share that Hemi and I earned enough points to secure a spot on the USDAA World Team!  Of dogs being considered for the team, Hemi finished with 115 points, first place in the 16" jump height, and more than 30 points ahead of the nearest competitor! 

The other 16" World Team members are Suzi Cope and Jib (who also train at Best Friends!!) and Suzanne Wesley from Florida with Sonic.  Jib and Sonic are both miniature poodles who teamed with Hemi at the Nationals in Scottsdale.  It's very exciting to reunite with my friends and teammates for the trip to Belgium!

The IFCS World Agility Championship will be held in Ingelmunster, Belgium from May 9-11.  Team members will gather for a practice on Thursday, May 8 and competition begins on Friday.  Classes include Snooker, Gamblers, Jumpers and more. 

This will be Hemi's second trip to compete internationally.  In July 2007, she ran at the European Open where her team earned first place in Jumping.  You can read about that trip here.
